1. Vertical sedimentation tank
The pool body plane is round or square. The waste water is discharged into the pool from top to bottom by the inlet pipe in the center of the sedimentation tank. The outlet of the water inlet is set with an umbrella baffle so that the waste water is evenly distributed in the pool, and then slowly rises along the whole section of the pool. Under the action of gravity, suspended solids settle into the cone sludge hopper at the bottom of the tank, and the clarified water is discharged from the overflow weir around the upper end of the tank. Scum trough and baffle can also beset before overflow weir to ensure outlet water quality. This kind of pool covers a small area, but the depth is large, the bottom of the pool is tapered, construction is more difficult.
2. Radial flow sedimentation tank
The pool body plane is mostly round, but also square. The diameter is large and the depth is small, the diameter is 20 ~ 100 meters, the water depth in the center of the pool is not more than 4 meters, the surrounding water depth is not less than 1.5 meters. The waste water enters the pond from the inlet pipe in the center of the pond and flows slowly along the radius to the pond. The suspended solids settle in the flow and enter the sludge hopper along the slope of the tank bottom, and the clarified water overflows from the pond into the outlet channel
3. New sedimentation tank
A new type of inclined plate or lamella plate clarifier sedimentation tank designed in recent years. It can greatly improve the precipitation efficiency, shorten the precipitation time and reduce the volume of the sedimentation tank by adding inclined plate or inclined tube in the tank. However, it has the disadvantages of inclined plate, easy scaling, long biofilm, scum, large maintenance workload, low life of pipes and plates. In addition, in recent years, the surrounding water inlet sedimentation tank, water distribution sedimentation tank and midway drainage sedimentation tank are being studied and tested.
Hexagonal honeycomb inclined tube precipitation has a variety of uses. If the primary sedimentation tank is set in front of the aeration tank, the suspended matter content in sewage can be reduced and the biological treatment load can be reducd. The activated sludge can be intercepted by setting a secondary sedimentation tank behind the aeration tank. In addition, there is a chemical sedimentation tank set up after the secondary treatment, that is, adding coagulants in the sedimentation tank to improve the removal efficiency of organic matters that are difficult to biodegrade, substances that can be oxidized and color producing substances.
