How to Calculate the Volume of MBBR Media ?
When you design MBBR process for an Aeration system for wastewater treatment, you maybe want to know :
How many cubic meter MBBR media Do I need for the for biological treatment process?
How Do we calculate the mbbr biomedia volume?
There are two ways to calculate the volume for the MBBR media to Nitrogen revival ,BOD removal and COD removal MBBR system:
1. The first way is very easy, and just for Roughly estimated.
The fill rate of MBBR media is 15% to 60%. As usual, for the common projects, we fill about 30% of the Aerotank volume.
For example, if your Aerotank is 100CBM,then we can roughly estimate the MBBR media is about 30CBM.
2. The Second way to calculate the volume of MBBR biofilter media is to exactly with the MBBR media Design meter as below as the Excel
