1) The selection of lamella plate is inappropriate. For example, the selected packing is not resistant to medium corrosion, high pressure or vacuum, high temperature or low temperature, etc.
2) Thetube settlers treatment used is too thin. If the filler is too fine when subjected to the kneading effect of the filler gland, the radial deformation that it can produce is very limited, and it cannot achieve an excellent sealing effect.
3) The inclined plate clarifier is cut too short, and the two cut surfaces cannot be closely attached.
4) The tube settler design does not meet the application requirements.
5) The lamella plate clarifier equipment is incorrect. The main reasons are that the cutting point of the packing is too large or too small, the method of the cutting surface of the packing is incorrect, and the cutting of each ring of packing is not staggered, etc., the packing equipment is incorrect.
6) Improper storage of inclined plate settler or exceeding the service life, resulting in aging, cracking or loss of elasticity. If the packing rope itself loses its elasticity, it is difficult to produce radial deformation when subjected to the kneading effect of the packing gland, and the space between the pump shaft (valve stem) and the inner wall of the packing cylinder cannot be fully filled.
7) The lamella filter has been used for too long. During the operation of the packing, it is easily affected by factors such as wear, corrosion, aging, drying, temperature, etc., and gradually loses its fine performance and causes leakage. This phenomenon is more common in packing sealing equipment.
