Aeration diffusers refer to the process of increasing the contact area between water and air by means of wastewater air diffuser or mechanical agitation. Fine bubble diffuser is an intermediate process for aerobic biological treatment of wastewater.
The function of the aeration tank is to allow the activated sludge to perform aerobic respiration and further decompose the organic matter into inorganic matter. To achieve the purpose of removing pollutants, the disc diffuser tank mainly relies on aerobic microorganisms to remove COD in the water, and the growth and reproduction of microorganisms require dissolved oxygen.

The function of aeration:
1. The basic function of diffuse disc desiccation is to generate and promote the effective contact of oxygen with water, to provide oxygen in the case of continuous consumption of oxygen by biological oxidation, and to maintain a certain concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water;
2. In addition to supplying oxygen, it also produces enough stirring and mixing in the wastewater diffuser tank area to promote the circulation of water, so that the activated sludge and wastewater are fully contacted and mixed;
3. Maintain a certain moving speed of the mixed liquid, so that the activated sludge is always in suspension in the mixed liquid;

During the operation, the oxygen content and other requirements of the microorganisms should be well controlled, so that the microorganisms can have more beneficial aerobic respiration.
