How To Calculate The Amount Of Tube Settler Quickly ?

How to calculate the number of sedimentation tanks is a frequent problem in sedimentation tank replacement and planning.

 

The common shapes of lamella clarifier sedimentation tanks are rectangular and circular, so in the case of choosing tube settlers specifications, there are two calculation formulas as follows.

Calculation of Filling Amount of Inclined Tube in Rectangular Sedimentation Tank:

 

If the shape of the lamella plate clarifier settling tank is rectangular, the calculation formula for the amount of inclined plate clarifier is:

 

Tube settler media quantity N (unit: square) = length of the tube settler clarifier settling tank (unit: m) *width (unit: m), i.e. the area of the settling tank.

 

Why is it calculated this way? Because the tube settler clarifier needs to be installed to fill the whole tank, so the specification of the lamella tube settler clarifier is 1000mm*1000mm*886mm (vertical height of the lamella tube settler).

 

An example: the pond is 15 meters long and 12 meters wide. What is the amount of lamella plate required?

Answer: N=13mX11m=143m3, i.e. the amount of lamella tube settler clarifier required for a square sedimentation pond is 143m3.

The formula for calculating the amount of lamella separator for a circular sedimentation tank:

 

If the slant tube filler settling tank is circular and the diameter R of the circular tank needs to be known, the formula for calculating the amount of slant tube filler is:

 

The amount of filler in the inclined tube N = π*(R/2), which is the area of the circle.

 

An example: How much-inclined plate settler is needed for a 12 m diameter lamella filter settling tank?

 

Answer: N = 3.14*(9/2)? = 63.585 m2, rounded up to 64m2

 

If the height of a circular slant tube-filled sedimentation tank is considered as a double layer, the 64 calculated in the above equation should be multiplied by 2, i.e. 128m2.

 

In the preliminary planning of the tube settlers sedimentation tank, the net area after completion should be fully considered. Since the size of the inclined plate is 1m*1m, the width of the sedimentation tank should be planned as well as possible (that is, the width of the inclined plate placed horizontally) is exactly the overall size, which is not only convenient for the maintenance of the equipment, but also neat and beautiful, and relatively strong. If it is not full scale, it is necessary to make up a row, which will affect the overall firmness.
