More mature process developed based on ANAMMOX:
1).SHARON -ANAMMOX Process 2).CANON Process
3). OLAND Process 4). DEAMOX Process
5). DEMON Process 6). SNAD Process
7). Single-stage nitrogen removal using ANAMMOX Process
Integrated (single-stage system) process
1). Including CANON, OLAND, DEAMOX, DEMON, SNAP, SNAD and other processes
2). Advantage
①. Low capital construction cost, compact structure, simple device operation and control.
②. The nitrite produced by short-cut nitrification immediately participates in the ANAMMOX reaction, which can effectively avoid the inhibition caused by the accumulation of nitrite.
③. High denitrification rate per unit volume.
3). Disadvantages
①. The integrated process takes a long time to start, and it is easy to lose stability when subjected to load impact.
②. The recovery time is also long after the system is disturbed.

Split (two-stage system) process
1). Mainly SHARON-ANAMMOX process
2). Advantage
①. The two reactors can be independently adjusted flexibly and stably, and the recovery time after the system is disturbed is short.
②. More suitable for treating wastewater containing toxic and organic substances.
③.When processing high-load nitrogen-containing wastewater, the high investment cost of the split process will be compensated by lower operating costs.
