AquaSust Tube Settler Description：
Tube settlers, also known as plate settlers or lamella clarifiers, are utilized in drinking and wastewater treatment plants to facilitate the settling of suspended solids. These settlers feature multiple tubular channels that are sloped at an angle of 60° and arranged adjacent to each other.
The primary function of tube settlers is to enhance the sedimentation process by providing a large surface area for the solids to settle onto. As the water flows through the channels, the solid particles experience a settling force that exceeds the drag forces acting on them. Consequently, the solids settle on the channel surfaces, accumulate with other particles, and gradually slide down as sludge.
One of the notable advantages of tube settlers is their cost-effectiveness in upgrading existing water treatment plant clarifiers and sedimentation basins to improve overall performance. They can also reduce the required tankage and footprint in new installations. By utilizing tube settlers, the settling basins can effectively reduce the solids loading on downstream filters, leading to improved efficiency and optimized treatment processes.
