AquaSust Tube Settler Description:
Lamella Tube settlers provide a cost-effective solution for upgrading existing water treatment plant clarifiers and sedimentation basins, resulting in improved performance. They are also beneficial for new installations as they can reduce the required tankage and overall footprint. By utilizing Lamella Tube settlers, the solids loading on downstream filters can be reduced, leading to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in the treatment process.
The versatility of tube settler media makes it highly suitable for various clarifiers and the removal of sand. It is considered a universal water treatment equipment in water supply and drainage engineering, offering wide application, high handling efficiency, and a compact footprint. Tube settlers are particularly effective in removing sand from inlets, industrial processes, and drinking water treatment, as well as facilitating oil-water separation.
The modular and cubical self-supporting design of Honeycombed Inclined Tube Settlers simplifies installation and subsequent maintenance. This design aids in the handling of the settlers, making them easier to work with during installation and any necessary maintenance tasks.
To ensure optimal performance, equal flow distribution is crucial for both tube settlers and plate settlers. It is essential to prevent short-circuiting of flow, where larger gaps in the settlers can cause solids to bypass the settling areas and be carried out with the effluent. By maintaining proper flow distribution, the entire added clarifier capacity can be utilized effectively, maximizing the settling efficiency and overall performance of the system.
Product advantages:
Fill media for water and wastewater applications is used as a carrier medium for Bio-film growth. The fill media blocks consist of corrugated foils which can be manufactured in various forms. These various forms result in different surface areas and channel designs. Additionally, fill media blocks can be manufactured from either Polypropylene (PP) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). Moreover, our customers benefit from a customized fill media solution for their individual project case.
However, one significant difference between extruded and thermoformed tubes is that extruded tubes have no wave (or flat) sheet at all. This weakness in the design results in the need for a more robust and complex support system as they are not capable of meeting the same unsupported span as thermoformed tubes. In a majority of cases, this means the support system for extruded tube settlers will have much higher material and installation costs.
