The design of the lamella tube settler, with its 60-degree inclination, enables efficient separation of suspended solids. The particles remain in a calm environment for a longer duration due to the tube's size, resulting in an increased settling surface area.
The carriers within the system promote the growth of bacteria and activated sludge, which break down organic matter in the wastewater. The aeration system keeps the carriers and activated sludge in motion. As the bacteria population increases, excess sludge separates from the carriers and flows with the treated water towards the final separator.
The system can be configured as a single-stage or multi-stage setup, depending on specific requirements. The individual bacteria remain in their respective duty tanks since the carriers are confined to a single tank and protected by screens.
