Tube settlers / Lamella clarifiers
A sheet plate separator consists of a series of inclined plates or channels that offer a substantial effective surface area within a compact space. Consequently, the basin required for a sheet plate separator is considerably smaller compared to a traditional clarifier. The increased surface area reduces the settling path and the time it takes for particles to settle. Moreover, the inclination of the plates, typically between 55° and 60°, facilitates a balanced reverse flow of sludge and water. This ultimately improves the sedimentation process.
