PU MBBR Description:
Structural Foam Filler is a composite of polyurethane and other polymers, referred to as PPC carrier. The carrier is an aerobic biological carrier that provides space for the growth of microorganisms.The PPC carrier has a unique wall structure, which increases the specific surface area of the carrier, and at the same time increases the wear resistance of the carrier and has a longer life. The carrier has a hydrophilic gel, good elasticity, and microorganisms are easy to adhere to the membrane. At the same time, the high porosity ensures non-intestinal mass transfer inside and outside the carrier, and the microorganisms have an excellent growth environment.
Structural Foam Filler Technical Principle
Different microorganisms (from bacteria to ciliates to rotifers) concen - trate on the surface of the carrier to form biofilms. In aerobic system, the carrier is kept in a fluidized state by aeration. The pollutants are gathered on the biofilm through this movement and then degraded by microorganisms.
