MBBR packing Media process is a new type of wastewater treatment process developed by Norway Kaldnes Mijecpteknogi and SINTEF. It combines the advantages of traditional fluidized bed process and biological contact oxidation process. It has a good denitrification and phosphorus removal effect. Used in industrial wastewater treatment and urban sewage treatment.
Person in charge of process:
The wastewater passes through the suspension medium of the MBBR packing Media and a biofilm is gradually formed on the surface of the medium. As the microorganisms act on the biofilm, the wastewater is purified. With the mixing of water, the medium can move freely in the reactor; for aerobic reactors, aeration will move the medium; for anaerobic reactors, mechanical mixing will move the medium.
Application process and scope:
(1) Thermofor biofilm reactor to remove organic matter and denitrification
(2) Activated sludge method
It combines the biofilm method and activated sludge method in one processing unit. Improve the removal ability of BOD/COD and strengthen the function of nitrogen and phosphorus removal. This process is suitable for the transformation of the activated sludge process, without modification.
