Wastewater Treatment Mbbr Bio Carrier process features are mainly as follows.

1. It can strengthen denitrification and phosphorus removal

With the composite process of activated sludge-suspension filler, the sludge age separation of different functional microorganisms in the same reactor can be realized. Nitrogen removal bacteria (nitrifying bacteria) are generally long mud age bacteria, which need longer mud age (15-25d); phosphorus removal bacteria (phosphorus collecting bacteria) are generally short mud age bacteria, which need shorter mud age (3-7d); the mud age is too long, which is easy to lead to poor microbial activity to reduce the treatment load, aging and difficult to gather to reduce the settling performance, etc. There is an irreconcilable contradiction in the actual traditional nitrogen removal and phosphorus removal process in terms of sludge age.

The composite process provides a carrier for the growth of nitrifying bacteria due to the addition of biological filler, which prolongs the sludge age and improves the denitrification effect; at the same time, the activated sludge system is controlled to be of short sludge age, which can enhance the phosphorus removal effect; the mud-film is fully fluidized under aeration and water flow, which promotes the renewal of biofilm and prevents the sludge from aging and decreasing the treatment performance; in winter when the water temperature is low and the activated sludge system is not conducive to the growth of nitrifying bacteria, the shedding of biofilm has a negative impact on the activated sludge. When the water temperature is low in winter, the activated sludge system is not conducive to the growth of nitrifying bacteria.

2. Strong shock load resistance and good treatment effect

The impact load is mainly expressed as water quality impact of conventional pollutants, water quality impact of toxic pollutants and water quantity impact, which is the effect of the change of pollutants carried by microorganisms per unit surface area per unit time on the treatment effect.

The long sludge age and the existence of local aerobic and anoxic microenvironments in the MBBR are beneficial to the screening and enrichment of microorganisms adapted to the harsh water quality conditions such as low temperature, high salt and low substrate, which are conducive to the enrichment of domesticated cold-loving bacteria and high salt-tolerant bacteria.

The biofilm mass transfer is slower than activated sludge, and the heat generated by biodegradation is also exchanged with the water body more slowly, which improves the local environment temperature of microorganisms and is conducive to the maintenance of bacterial activity, and the macroscopic performance shows that MBBR still has better treatment effect for low temperature, high salt, low substrate and other poor water quality conditions.

3. Activated sludge is not easy to swell

When pure MBBR system is used, there is no sludge expansion problem because it is pure membrane method; when activated sludge-suspension filler composite process is used, it is easy to settle due to the high proportion of inorganic matter of aging off biofilm and high density; and there are more extracellular polymers of biofilm than activated sludge, which has contact flocculation effect and improves sludge aggregation performance and sludge settling performance.
