Assembly method of Aquasust UV Tube Settler

Aquasust UV tube setter is assembled with 5 corrugated sheets and 5 wave sheets into a 1 foot wide (305 mm) module. Based on the number of profiles required for a 1 m2 extruded precipitator module (approximately 100), compared to the number of sheets required for a similarly sized Aquasust thermoformed module (10), it is reasonable to estimate that the assembly rate and labor cost to assemble an extruded precipitator is more than 10 times that of a thermoformed precipitator.

In addition to the assembly rate, another significant difference of the extruded tube sinker is the absence of wave plates (or flat plates). The wave plate within the thermoforming sinker module provides beam strength that is not available in the extrusion sinker. The benefit of the increased beam strength is that the Aquasust UV Sinker can span 8 feet (2,438 mm) unsupported and still maintain its structural integrity, resulting in minimal support required for the entire installation. Due to the weaknesses in the design of extruded tube counters, they will require a stronger and more complex support system, which brings with it higher material and installation costs.
