Volute Press For Sludge Dewatering

(1) No matters in the flocculation tank;

(2) No sludge in the dewatering body;

(3) Clean the sludge in the head of the screw shaft.

 

a) Put the flocculants powder into the PAM solution preparation device and start the mixing device;

b) Dose the flocculants powder to the PAC solution preparation device and start the mixing device;

c) Clean the fixed rings and moving rings of the dewatering bodies manually for 2 minutes;

d) Open the driving motors of the dewatering bodies. Check if the rotation direction of the motors is correct. Keep the shower tubes on for 2 minutes;

e) Start the flocculants powder feeding pumps, sludge feeding pumps, solution dosing pumps and the mixing motor of the flocculation tank one by one. To ensure the service life and working performance, any large solid matters like wood bricks, metals are not allowed to enter into the pumps and the dewatering bodies.

f) Adjust the sludge feeding volume and the rotation speed of the screw shafts the frequency of which should not higher than 70Hz. Adjust the gap of the back pressure plates for best working capacity and performance.

 

3 Check Items after Start

(1) Check ifthe rotation of the screw shafts is normal;

(2) Check if the sludge level in the flocculation tank is stable;

(3) Check if the operation of moving devices is normal or there is any abnormal sound.

 

4 Stop Procedures

a) Close the sludge feeding pumps to stop feeding sludge;

b) Close the PAC dosing pumps and the polymer station to stop dosing PAC;

c) Close the PAM dosing pumps and the polymer station to stop dosing PAM;

d) Empty the flocculation tank and stop the mixing motors.

e) After all the sludge is discharged outside of the machine, which will cost at least 30 minutes, wash the dewatering bodies manually for 5 minutes to clean the machine.

f) Close the power.
