How do MBBRs work?

Carrier MBBR  for water treatment   consist of large water tanks. Inside these tanks are wastewater and biofilm media carriers. The media provides a protected surface area for the acclimation of bacteria. The bacteria that grow on the media help break down elements of the wastewater. Made of high-density polyethylene, our carrier MBBR have an effective life of over fifteen years. The microorganisms break down the wastewater. These microorganisms are then sloughed off of the media and are discharged with the treated water. MBBR systems are ideal for the pretreatment of wastewater streams that contain organics.
