The Tuandao Wastewater Treatment Plant adopts an improved A/A/O process, with a design scale of 100,000 tons per day, and the effluent is subject to Class II standards. In 2010, the upgrading was carried out, and the effluent was upgraded to Class A standard. Tuandao Sewage Treatment Plant is located in the old city and is an environmentally sensitive area. The drainage directly enters Jiaozhou Bay, which has a great impact on the local environment. It is urgently needed to be upgraded to Grade A to improve the water environment; There is no land for expansion, and the transformation can only be carried out in the original pond; the water quality is high, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen have reached 80 and 125 mg/L respectively, and the effluent of the original sewage plant only reaches the second-level standard, which is technically difficult. After the MBBR upgrade and transformation, the treatment effect is stable and up to the standard. Under the most unfavorable temperature conditions in winter, ammonia nitrogen can reach the surface IV water standard, TN can reach level A, TP of the biochemical section effluent is close to level A, and the TP removal rate of biological phosphorus removal exceeds 92%, which reduces the load of advanced processing and saves the cost of drug administration.
