Smart Tube Diffuser Description
TD63 1000 mm Aeration Tube Diffuser has been installed around the world to promote natural and biological treatment of lakes, lagoons, reservoirs, and other bodies of water. Bubbling from the bottom up, TD63 1000 mm Aeration Tube Diffuser recreate a river-like environment in bodies of water that lack oxygenation and mixing. Once elevated "bottom dissolved oxygen" levels are restored, beneficial bacteria and higher life forms consume organics and nutrients, purifying the aquatic eco-system naturally.
Energy efficiencies in the range 40% over existing systems are being provided. By adopting the solution, immediate cost savings can be gained, or perhaps more significantly, existing plants can be upgraded - with the increased efficiency the capacity of an existing plant can be increased, sometimes eliminating the need for costly civil structures or new sites.
Air is supplied from the blowers to the air main to each floating lateral header. The air then flows through the down-comer hoses into the TD63 1000 mm Aeration Tube Diffuser assembly.In the diffuser assembly, the air is distributed through high efficiency fine bubble tubular membranes creating 1 mm fine bubbles for aeration and mixing.
The oxygen transfer is maximized because the diffusers are continually move towards areas of low dissolved oxygen. Along with using high efficiency fine bubble diffusers, this increases the overall efficiency of the system.Moving diffusers mix a significantly larger area than other systems because the laterals oscillate over a wide area. TD63 1000 mm Aeration Tube Diffuser can reduce the required amount of mixing air by 30% compared to fixed aeration systems.
How it works
The operational life of an diffuser is typically in the range of 5-7 years, and with the unique way in which the membranes self- clean, whole life costs are reduced, and man entry into tanks for maintenance purposes is avoided.The increased efficiency of the diffuser is due to the very fine bubble that is generated - this presents a greater surface area for any given volume of air to the flow compared to any other system. However, increased efficiency is also provided due to the general arrangement of the diffusers and the fact that they are secured directly to the tank floor; this increases contact time.
