Tube Settler For Water Treatment By Intrusion

A pipe settler is a device used to separate particulate matter suspended in a liquid. It separates the particulate matter from the liquid by gravity. The following is the basic working principle of a pipeline precipitator:

Inlet: Contaminated liquid enters the settler through pipes. Typically, liquid enters the inlet of the settler from a pipe.

Settling Chamber: The liquid enters the settling chamber, which is a relatively large container or tank. In the sedimentation chamber, the velocity of the liquid slows down, giving the particles a chance to settle out of the liquid. The design of the sedimentation chamber usually allows the liquid to remain in it for a period of time so that the particles can settle.

Gravity sedimentation: The particles gradually sink to the bottom of the sedimentation chamber due to the action of gravity due to their higher density. Larger or heavier particles will settle first, while smaller or lighter particles may take longer.

Clean liquid collection: The clean liquid is located in the upper part of the settling chamber, and the clean liquid leaves the settler through the outlet pipe for subsequent processing or use. Usually, the outlet pipe is located in the upper part of the settling chamber to ensure that only clean liquid is discharged.

Particle discharge: There is usually a discharge port at the bottom of the sedimentation chamber to discharge the settled particles regularly or as needed. These particles can be further processed, disposed of or recycled, depending on their nature and application.
