K1 bio media/MBBR biological media is a new type of biologically active carrier and a new type of suspension carrier. It adopts scientific formula, according to the nature of water, mixes the trace elements of various beneficial microorganisms that fast grow and adhere to the polymer material, and is constructed through special process modification. It modifies polymer materials by promoting the addition of biological enzymes and improves enzyme catalytic performance. It has the advantages of large specific surface area, easy biofilm proliferation, not easy to fall off, strong denitrification ability, good hydrophilicity, and high biological activity.
The wastewater passes through the suspension medium of the MBBR (bio-filter media) reactor/k1 bio media, and a biofilm is gradually formed on the surface of the medium. The action of microorganisms on the biofilm purifies the wastewater. With the mixing of water, the medium can move freely in the reactor; for aerobic reactors, aeration will move the medium; for anaerobic reactors, mechanical mixing will move the medium.
