What is a recirculating aquaculture system?
In the circulating aquaculture system, the aquaculture water is continuously purified and reused. The circulating aquaculture system is almost a completely closed loop. The generated waste, such as solid waste, ammonium and carbon dioxide, is removed or converted into non-toxic products through system components. The purified water is then saturated with oxygen and returned to the fish tank. By cultivating water by recycling, the demand for water and energy is restricted to the absolute minimum. However, it is impossible to design a fully enclosed circulation system. Non-degradable waste must be removed and evaporated water replaced. Our circulatory system can still reuse 90% or more of the culture water. To ensure good water purification, the recirculation system consists of many components with specific functions. Please refer to the detailed description of RAS technology below. Both systems can completely remove ammonia in the system water. The choice of biofiltration depends on many factors (such as available space, outdoor temperature, energy cost, etc.)
