AquaSust MBBR Classic Case

This is feedback from a customer using our AquaSust MBBR Media USA, who successfully combined MBBR technology with an aquaponics system.

The project has a large fish culture pond with a variety of fish species including carp. Wastewater and fish manure are transported to the MBBR reactor for treatment. The organic matter and ammonia nitrogen in the wastewater are broken down and removed by attaching and growing microorganisms on suspended carriers.

The carriers in the MBBR reactor move in a flowing manner, providing a large surface area for microbial growth. The microorganisms attach to the carriers to form biofilms that convert organic matter and ammonia nitrogen in the waste into harmless substances by degrading them.

The treated water after the MBBR reactor is transported back to the aquaponics system for aquatic plants to grow and absorb nutrients. At the same time, the roots of the aquatic plants provide a surface for biofilm to grow on, facilitating the attachment of microorganisms and the further treatment of decomposing waste.

The project not only successfully realizes fish farming and aquatic plant cultivation, but also solves the problems of wastewater treatment and environmental protection. The combination of the aquaponics system and MBBR technology not only improves water quality but also provides a sustainable food production method.

 

Case2: Shrink Farm System

 

We have a Korean client, a shrimp farm that uses AquaSust MBBR Media technology to improve water quality and increase farm production. This farm has a large area and farms a large number of shrimp.

By using the AquaSust MBBR system, this shrimp farm has successfully improved water quality and effectively reduced ammonia concentrations. This not only helped improve shrimp growth and culture efficiency but also reduced dependence on external water sources. In addition, the AquaSust MBBR system reduced the pollution of waste materials to the surrounding environment, improving the sustainability and environmental friendliness of the farm.

MBBR technology also has a tremendous effect in shrimp farming systems, improving water quality conditions and enhancing farming efficiency
